The meal is basic cocked on a homemade barbecue but very very tasty, Porko Preto was beautiful, The price was €39 for 2 meals along with bread and olives, beer and a carafe of wine, we stayed over alongside the restaurant in our Motorhome, hope to do the same again in the future.- Serviço

Don’t let you distract by the looks because I thinks it’s the best chicken/batatas fritas. (I would say in the world). Don’t miss this stop if you are ever nearby

Lovely place peace quiet and nature. Since we were last here in 2016 the water level has dropped massively, perhaps 20 metres as can be seen by the marks on the tower

Classic Alentejo!
J'ai adoré cet endroit ( 3x que j'y passe ) . Aucune interdiction de se poser en campingcar. Le petit restaurant qui surplombe le barrage, chez Maria et Manuel, deux retraités, cuisine simple mais délicieuse, à commander à l'avance. Belles promenades dans le barrage, que je n'ai jamais vu au dessus de 15% de sa capacité en eau.

I loved this place (3 times I've been there). No restriction on stopping in a camper van. The small restaurant overlooking the dam, owned by Maria and Manuel, two retirees, serves simple but delicious food, which you can order in advance. Beautiful walks in the dam, which I've never seen above 15% of its water capacity.
